Have you tried guessing what the reunion theme might be?
It was inspired by a Sew Weekly theme from March 2012- The Pantone Challenge! With this theme, we hope that it will help all our stash busting efforts. I’ve reached the stage of fabric accumulation where I would soon run out of walking or sewing space. But, with the range of colors below, I’m almost certain that most of us would have at least one suitable fabric in our stash for this theme. And off course, you can choose to use one, a few or all the hues in your project. The possibilities are endless!
Here it is! Our theme for the inaugural TSW Reunion is the Pantone Fashion Colors of Fall 2013! There are vibrant and neutral tones to choose from. Love so many of the happy colors here!
Pantone provided some tips on mixing the hues here if you are interested and I hope these fall 2013 RTW Runway shots will inspire you as such as they’ve inspired me.
With the pantone challenge, we thought it would be appropriate to select a project for the best use of colors at the end of the reveal. The winner stands to win 3 yards of this dandelion silk chiffon fabric. Isn’t this simple print lovely?
For ladies who are participating in the patterns & notions swap, we’d love it if you use any of the patterns or notions received from your swap partner for your garment. This is not compulsory but if you do use the swap items, you stand a chance of winning the exclusive range of buttons below (more than 100 buttons in total!!!). I don’t know about you but I LOVE cute buttons with a retro feel! Just staring at them puts me on cloud nine! A gentle reminder to mail those patterns/ notions packages out by tomorrow:)
Can’t wait to see ALL your creations!
Remember to send your photos and links by Sunday, 1 September 2013 to thesewweeklyreunion@gmail.com
Cheers!
Do you want one photo to be 540 x 300, or whatever the size was that Mena used?
540 X 300 or any bigger will be fab, tks
So excited! I love the fall colors, and I can’t wait for my package to arrive to see what I got! Got my package mailed and the USPS promises delivery on Friday. I hope that my swap partner likes it. Turns out the color she likes is one of the new Pantone Colors!
Fun! I am off to check out the colors now. 🙂

I love Autumn colours and can’t wait to see what people make. My parcel is going in the post today, I do hope there’s something in there that my swap pal can use 🙂
Three, count ’em – 3 greens ! ! ! Yippee ! ! !
I am going to stash bust like c-r-a-z-y with this.
My package was delivered 31 Aug in NY; haven’t received mine yet & can’t wait!

Oh yay! So many gorgeous colours in that selection, now to go hunt through my stash…. 🙂
Fantastic! Always lovely to realise my stash is still ‘on trend’ 😉
Fun! I actually have an outfit I’ve been wanting to create for awhile now that would work for this theme. Stash busting is the best!

I was just gearing up to join the Sew Weekly when I saw it was over, so I am thrilled to join this!
Would love to do this. I still check the Sew Weekly link once in a while, hoping it would start back up. See the reunion challenge motivated me to finally push the publish button on a new blog.
